The great thing about getting older is you tend to say what is on your mind without worrying about what others think. So, here is a little of what is on my mind, or at least what is left of it.

Rewriting History or Uncovering the Truth

What George W. Bush calls "rewriting history" I would call "peeling back the layers of lies and deceit."

What the media is calling a strong defense I would call the "same old crap."
  • Stick with the big lie.
  • Attack me and you are attacking the troops.
  • Focus attention 0n how the congress voted for war, while evading the fact that your administration fabricated and manipulated intelligence because you sir "wanted a war."
  • Never admit you were wrong about anything.

George W. Bush equates this macho bullshit with strength but strength lies with those brave young men and women who are doing the dying, not with gung-ho politicians who start wars from the safety of their high office. We know how you and Mr. Cheney served when it was your turn to put your lives on the line. The valor of our fighting men does not rub off, no matter how many times you drag them out for photo ops.

You are hoping you can get away with the big lie one more time. You are hoping the American people will fall for the lies once more. The line you were looking for in one of your more embarrassing speeches is, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." The lies are wearing thin, Mr. President, and I think the American people have finally had their fill.
