The great thing about getting older is you tend to say what is on your mind without worrying about what others think. So, here is a little of what is on my mind, or at least what is left of it.

Will the Real George W. Bush Please Step Forward

Do we really know anything about the real George W. Bush? I mean, all we ever see is a carefully staged media image. What is the man really like? I bet he is a total asshole. No wonder the Whitehouse is so keen on secrecy.

Who Would Jesus Back?

Modern Christians might back a leader who has made it his life's occupation to take from the poor and give to the rich, but I doubt that Jesus would. Truthfully, I doubt that Jesus would want much to do with this flock of hypocrites.

Follow the Money

The typical evagelical preacher today wouldn't settle for six pieces of silver.

Sign of the Beast

What does a DC Republican and a Christian pedophile have in common?

They both genuflect before raping their young victims.

Chicken Hawks

The Republicans hated the hippies. They couldn't stand the idea of the youth of America would standing up and saying, "Hell no, I'm not going to fight your stupid war." But, if the leadership in this administration is any example, they were not so keen on fighting if they were the ones who had to go into harm's way. And in this war, they don't seem anxious that any of their children should go, either. It would be interesting to see how many of the those clamoring for war ever served or have children serving in Iraq. I guess war is important as long as it is not your kids doing the dying.

Can't Drink a Beer Yet

We have kids, just out of high school, fighting and dying in Iraq all because George W. Bush got a hair up his ass and wanted to start a war. He makes speeches to select groups of soldiers mostly to have a clip for the evening news, but talk is cheap. I truly doubt that this man ever gives much thought to the kids who are dying as off he rides on his little mountain bike.

Why is it that religious conservatives spend so much of their time worrying about other's behavior and so little time worrying about their own?

Accomplished Nothing

The war in Iraq is another VietNam. We will have killed thousands of civilians and thrown away the lives of countless of our children and have accomplished nothing. We keep killing and dying, no hope of success, just to give Bush and Rove concoct an exit strategy that will help conceal their total incompetence. George Bush is proud of "staying the course" as off he rides on his little mountain bike.

God, save us from the pious, especially when they sit in the Senate.

Human Fodder

Policemen who have fallen in the line of duty are honored with parades and ceremony, yet our young soldiers come home in caskets draped with ignominious silence. Flags are far prettier than the human fodder for roadside bombs, and mothers who cry out against the waste their children's young lives are fair game for the Republican Attack Machine. And off he rides on his little mountain bike.

We saw pictures of citizens being tortured by the Hussein regime. I wonder when pictures will surface of the torture being done in the name of America. Of course, it will be blamed on some low ranking individual and not the regime which set the policy. Of one thing we can be sure, the buck will never stop in the oval office as long as George W. Bush occasionally visits. And off he rides on his little mountain bike.

Murder by Any Other Name

George Bush justified his attack on Saddam Hussein because Hussein had murdered numerous civilians. I wonder, did Hussein ever kill as many as has Bush? How many are going to die in the coming civil war in Iraq? And off he rides on his little mountain bike.

Paid Off

It would be interesting to see where each of the "swift boat veterans for peace" is today so we might know how they were paid off for their performance.

The Big Lie

How gullible Bush and Cheney must think the American people that they continue their strategy of lies and deception. How easy it is to believe their latest deception when we have forgotten their previous prevarications.

  • Are you proud of being a Republican in 2005?
  • Are you proud of this President who dragged this country into a war of aggression by lying and deceiving the American people?
  • Are you proud of a Republican administration which sends prisoners to others countries so they could be tortured with impunity? Does the word torture sink in?
  • Are you proud of being part of an organization which is using this government to destroy dissent and to strike fear into any who oppose it? Do you not see that your own rights and freedom are being attacked as well.
  • Are you proud to be associated with religious zealots who are trying to drag this great country back into the dark ages?
  • Are you proud of being a member of a party that is trying to inculcate our children with superstitious nonsense?
  • Are you proud to be associated with business run my men and women who will cheat, lie and steal in order to line their own pockets?
  • Do you really want Republican to be synonymous with crook and thief?
  • Is this the party of 2005 any longer the party of Lincoln or Eisenhower?
  • Does the Republican party of 2005 represent fiscal conservatism? Does your leadership even represent true conservatism at all?
  • Do you say, "I'm a Republican a little more softly now?"
  • Worst still, are you even a little embarrassed to say you are an American?

Nero played his fiddle while Rome burned, Dubya just plays while his "vision" incinerates this once great country.
